Getting Out

A lot of IT Contractors I know are fans of the low cost airlines, and of course there are some that do cheap flights back to the UK if you don't intend sticking around every weekend.

This search engine will search all of the budget carriers.  Quite nifty that you can specify the region of Denmark you want to fly from, and that one search engine covers all the airlines rather than searching their separate sites.  A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED time saver.

As much as flying is a big time-saver, my favourite mode of travelling is the ferry, and Denmark has plenty of those to choose from to Sweden, Norway, Germany and Poland, as well as local ones between islands.

When going to the UK you should try the leisurely, comfortable trip by ferry on the Esbjerg to Harwich route at least once.  You can get a cabin, and a decent nights' sleep, then when the fixed price breakfast comes around next morning enjoy a huge Danish buffet selection of breads, meats and cheese.  All very relaxing stuff.
